But before the doctor called me out, this gentleman entered the room, and instantly, I could see that his physical shape didn’t match his bald head sprinkled with white hair.
But then I heard him talk with the nurse:
“How old are you sir?”
My jaw dropped to the floor!
“How can this man have such a great physique and look so healthy at that age?”
Funny enough this gentleman sat next to me, and I couldn’t keep my mouth shut
“Sir, sorry, I couldn’t keep myself from hearing your conversation with the nurse and I was surprised to realize you are older than me...” – I told him I was feeling a little embarrassed…
“How do you maintain such a body?”
“Thanks, lady, well I really strive to maintain my health. Having good sleep schedules, I always done sports and right now I practice CrossFit. But I think a big part of that is making sure I eat clean and get all the minerals and vitamins that my body needs” - He replied to me.
I had taken fish oil for years, but I ran out 2 months ago and just did not replace it, plus I wanted to check if I really noticed a difference on my blood tests.
After dropping fish oil, I began feeling anxious, had tension and aches in my shoulders, was getting forgetful and was having trouble concentrating.
I began wondering if discontinuing fish oil was contributing to my feeling all of a sudden, a lot older...it was depressing to me how fast I was going downhill.
So, I asked him:
“Do you take supplements?”
“Of course! From Vitamin C, to CoQ-10 but my favorite one is Omega-3.”
“Omega-3? I used to take fish oil”
“Omega-3 Supplements are great for your overall health, from brain health to joint health, and last but not least heart and eye health. But I’ve found that fish oil doesn’t stand up to its hype, instead, I use krill oil...”
The doctor called me right after, but this stuck with me: “What is Krill Oil?”
